Kings Hill, Kent, UK. March 19, 2014 — M2M Now has appointed Olivier Beaujard of Sierra Wireless to its Board of Editorial Advisors. Olivier has accepted the honorary, invitation-only position to help guide the editorial team as they continue to extend the range and depth of M2M Now‘s global coverage of machine-to-machine (M2M) communications and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Olivier Beaujard is vice-president market development for Sierra Wireless and has 20 years’ experience in the wireless industry and machine-to-machine markets. He joined Sierra Wireless in 2009, and prior to that was with Wavecom from 1999 where he was in charge of Product Marketing. He has held several marketing positions such as marketing director, corporate business development director, vice-president marketing and vice-president of business development. Olivier was also involved in selling value-added service platforms to mobile operators at FERMA.
He previously worked in the smart card industry for Gemplus (now Gemalto) where he was responsible for the GSM standardisation at ETSI. Olivier graduated from the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble (INPG – ENSERG) with an electronics and telecommunications engineer diploma. He also holds an MBA from ESSEC business school.
