Wyless appoints Mike Coffey to role of president and CEO

Lawrence, MA, USA. February 27, 2015 — Wyless today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Mike Coffey as president and CEO, effective immediately. He was previously the company’s president and COO.

Wyless chairman, Chris Lowery commented, “On behalf of the board, I welcome Mike’s appointment as our CEO and I look forward to continuing to work with him to further our impressive growth in the IoT (Internet of Things) industry. Lowery added, “Our key focuses are growth of our core businesses, development of exciting new technology and above all, our customers. Our roadmap is simple; perfection of our existing Managed Services offerings combined with future technology will ensure that our customers succeed in the Internet of Things. Mike’s team-based leadership approach will enable us to execute this roadmap and to continue Wyless’ rapid evolution as the leader in IoT Managed Services.”

Commenting on his appointment, Mike Coffey said, “As president and COO of Wyless, I was in an ideal position to fully appreciate the needs of our growing business. This learning period gave me a valuable opportunity to understand our customers’ requirements and to put in place the leadership team necessary to fully support them and to take Wyless forward. I’m extremely excited to work with the Board of Directors, our new leadership team, and all Wyless team employees everywhere to ensure we’re truly empowering our customers to succeed in the Internet of Things.”

Mike Coffey joined Wyless in August of 2014 and was appointed president and COO on October 1. He began his career as a technologist with ‘hands on’ roles spanning software development and networks, then spent the last decade in executive management roles in technology-enabled companies. His experience includes start-up to high revenue to public companies spanning SaaS, online technology, and niche business models. Mike is a Cum Laude BS of Computer Science from RPI in upstate New York.

Wyless aims to help businesses realise the full potential of the IoT. Its reach is delivered through more than 20 mobile network operator (MNO) partners across the globe. The company offers eSim, Multi-IMSI, and Core Multiple Network capabilities deployed through Virtual Data Centres in several countries.

Mike and his executive team from the United States, Europe, and Brazil will be at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona from March 2-5. He replaces former CEO, Dan McDuffie.
