Vienna conference expands to cover IoT and M2M throughout central and eastern Europe

Vienna hosts the M2M Forum CEE

June 9th, 2015 sees the return of the annual M2M meeting in Vienna, Austria, but this time with a greater geographical reach, an extended remit and a programme entirely in English. M2M Forum CEE will cover all aspects of the Internet of Things (IoT) and machine-to-machine (M2M) communications throughout Central and Eastern Europe.

According to the organisers, the forum features a wide range of topics, customer case studies and speakers from Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Serbia, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Canada and Qatar.

The Opening Keynote address will be given by Nils Müller, CEO of trendONE, from Hamburg, Germany on Connecting Overlapping Interfaces of Different Sciences.  This will be followed by a CEO Panel entitled, How is digitalisation changing the world?

The panel chair is Dr. Karim Taga, managing partner Arthur D. Little, Vienna, Austria. The other panellists are:

  • Mariusz Gaca, CEO, Orange Polska, Warsaw, Poland;
  • Dr. Alexander Lautz, VP, Deutsche Telekom, Bonn, Germany;
  • Martin Navratil, CEO, Telenor Banka Serbia, Belgrade, Serbia;
  • Tibor Rékasi, CEO, T-Systems Hungary; and
  • Jörg Zeddies, CEO, Si.mobil Slovenia.

This year the organisers have extended the event’s reach to ensure that it covers all of Central and Eastern Europe, hence the new CEE branding. In addition, speakers and panellists from further afield have been invited — including Jeremy Cowan, editorial director of M2M Now who is moderating the event.
