Teleena and Airfi announce strategic partnership to leverage global IoT opportunities

Teleena, a global IoT and MVNO enabler announced a strategic partnership with Airfi, a global connectivity service provider to the IoT sector.

The new strategic partnership will enable a diverse range of IoT solutions for its customers by simplifying both the technical and commercial aspects of deploying cellular connected products across a seamless global footprint of 206 countries and over 460 mobile networks.

Airfi CEO, Ian Campbell recognised the “beginning of the explosive growth within the IoT sector, however the complexity of telecommunications must be overcome to enable this revolution. Airfi was founded with the mission to simplify connectivity for Equipment Manufacturers and Enterprises, so that cellular connectivity could be rapidly adopted in their products, across a global scale both technically and commercially.”.

“Our strategic partnership with Airfi will bring Teleena’s platform and services to Equipment Manufacturers worldwide”, commented Teleena’s executive director, Emile de Boer. “With our global platform, network and expertise we’re excited about the prospect of enabling Airfi’s customers with award winning service and playing a pivotal role in their plans to simplify connectivity for the IoT sector”.

It is expected that the number of connectivity devices in the world will exceed human connections within the next 18 months and further exceed 50 billion by 2020. Crucial to this explosive growth are the equipment manufacturers that build, ship and sell everyday products and services. Through its partnership, the Airfi value proposition enabled by Teleena will seek to rapidly enable these manufacturers.

Our value proposition: We take the complexity out of connecting everything.

We work agile and deliver fast (short lead times). We span the entire IoT/Mobile spectrum from core network (SIMs, GGSN/PGW, OCS/PCRF, HLR/HSS) to business support tools (Management Portal and APIs) in a highly scalable way. Our real-time solution allows our customers to cost-effectively interact with every end-user or device and monetise IoT for consumer or business.

What sets Teleena apart from competition is the fact that we provide end-to-end telco-grade solutions with a strong focus on tailor-made customer facing elements (branded self-care portals, retail invoicing etc). Our way of working is that we don’t think in standard solutions, we think and work agile and we aim for customer intimacy. Teleena’s international global roaming agreements provides access to 400 networks in 200 countries, LoRa networks will be added this year, as well 50 million global WiFi hotspots via partner deals.
