Roamworks, a Dubai-based provider of remote monitoring software, has established Roamworks USA to support the company’s existing client base and to pursue additional customers in the country’s rapidly growing M2M market.
“Our tracking and monitoring solutions are global in nature and our customers in the Middle East, like DHL, HSBC, UPS and Mercedes Benz, have requirements all over the world so it only made sense to bring our solutions set to the budding US space,” said Eric Wilson CEO of Roamworks.
Roamworks USA has appointed 25 year industry veteran Bryan Eagle to lead the company’s US efforts as president. Throughout his career, Eagle has led successful wireless and telecoms companies in their marketing, strategic planning and business development efforts.
Previous to Roamworks, Eagle acted as consultant for a number of telecoms companies, including Roamworks, and was the founder of Skywire, a provider of monitoring products and software. Additionally, he served as VP of marketing and business development at Cylix Communications, a provider of satellite and fibre managed data networks, and was marketing manager for The Discovery Channel.
“The market for M2M applications is exploding in the US and the flexibility and rapid implementation of Roamworks’ suite of applications and solutions is perfectly suited to the US.” Eagle said.
“Over last two decades I’ve experienced firsthand how advanced M2M solutions directly impact a company’s bottom line and we are now at an inflection point where costs have dropped so dramatically that adoption is taking off and the Roamworks’ platform should be in the middle of these deployments.”
Founded in 2000, Roamworks specialises in remote asset management. Its middleware platform, Roam, and application suite provide the ability to track and monitor, in real-time through wireless telecoms networks (satellite or terrestrial), mobile and fixed assets remotely.
