Jon Smith has left Wireless Logic to become wholesale sales manager for M2M and data services at mobile operator Three.
Smith was with Wireless Logic for four years, where he was business development manager and responsible for creating partnerships with systems integrators and distributors in the M2M data market. Before this, he spent ten years in the wireless industry in sales and product management roles.
At Three, Smith will develop and execute sales plans for 3G M2M services across new and existing channel partners, business customers and wholesale partners.
“M2M is a rapidly growing area for operators and Jonathan’s experience will give us a great position to grow,” said Three’s director of wholesale Lynda Burton.
“Three is undergoing a significant expansion of its wholesale offering and M2M is going to be a big part of that. I am very much looking forward to working with him and believe together we can create excellent results.”
Three has also appointed Jonathan West as its head of indirect channels. West was the national sales manager at BSkyB for nine years. Before that, West spent several years in the drinks industry.
