Global Marketing Director Internet of Things Growth Programme, Alcatel Lucent
As Director of the Internet of Things (IoT) market growth programme, Rob is responsible for defining and articulating Alcatel-Lucent’s vision and position in this market, covering both Service Provider and Strategic Industry viewpoints. An integral part of this role is to animate the discussion within the ecosystem of players in the IoT and M2M space around collaboration models and how Alcatel-Lucent’s customers can best take advantage of this new dawn of opportunity.
Rob has nineteen years of experience in the International Telecommunications industry, joining Alcatel-Lucent’s Mobile business in 2000 in portfolio management. Soon after joining he was asked to take up an assignment in Malaysia as a senior customer-facing mobile specialist. Upon his return Rob led the Product Marketing team for a subset of Alcatel-Lucent’s Radio Access portfolio.
After 4 years in the mobile business, Rob moved to the Alcatel-Lucent Services organisation in 2004 where he firstly managed Portfolio Strategy, and following a second overseas assignment in Abu Dhabi running the EMEA Professional Services business, held senior Business Development roles in EMEA.
Rob currently lives and works in the UK.
