Mouser to stock Maestro M2M modems

Distributor Mouser Electronics is to stock the complete line of Maestro Wireless products, including GPS modules and M2M modems and gateways.

These two wireless lines will be available to Mouser customers worldwide and complement each other in providing wireless integration for electronic design engineers.

The M2M line of wireless products uses Sierra Wireless technologies, with the Heritage line of connectivity devices adopting a modular approach to design, thereby simplifying the integration of other technologies including Ethernet, analogue and digital IO expansion capability into the complete system.

The Maestro GPS receiver modules line was acquired from Vincotech in late 2010 and includes a complete array of GPS sub-system modules based on CSR GPS technologies, including the Sirfstar IV A2100-A.

“We are pleased to be providing continuity of supply to our customers of the complete line of CSR/Sirf based GPS receiver modules,” said Russell Rasor, vice president of advanced technology at Mouser Electronics.

“The Maestro Wireless line of M2M products provides synergy in addressing the wireless product development requirements of the design engineering community we serve.”

Olivier Bernard, Maestro’s vice president of business development, added: “Now that the foundation has been set in establishing an effective channel marketing partnership with Mouser Electronics for this leading line of GPS modules, Maestro is excited to build on this initial success with such an innovative and respected catalogue and online distribution company as Mouser Electronics.

“To complement this initiative, it is a natural progression for both companies to work together in continuing to address the wireless application requirements of design engineers by marketing and supporting the complete line of certified M2M modems developed by Maestro Wireless.”
