The M2M market is set to grow dramatically in the next ten years and some CSPs are better positioned than others to capture high-value business from that growth.
“Until now, no one has undertaken a holistic appraisal of carriers’ M2M businesses, aspirations and thought-leadership: there’s more to M2M than ARPU and device connections,” comments Steve Hilton, Principal Analyst, Analysys Mason.
Analysys Mason’s ‘M2M CSP scorecard’ ranks 12 global CSPs according to how they are performing in matters related to M2M, and how they are positioned for growth in this market. The data comes from a questionnaire they asked participating CSPs to complete during June and July 2011.
The following CSPs participated in the M2M CSP scorecard:
• AT&T
• Deutsche Telekom
• Everything Everywhere
• KPN
• Sprint
• Telekom Austria Group
• Telefónica
• Telenor Connexion
• TeliaSonera
• Telstra
• Verizon Wireless
• Vodafone.
