RIM unveils Porsche 911 with NFC
28 February 2012, Mobile World Congress, Barcelona — RIM have unveiled a Porsche 911 fully loaded with Blackberry technology and equipped with one touch NFC pairing.
An NFC tag , located within the vehicle, allows the driver’s BlackBerry NFC phone to be automatically paired with the Porsche’s in-car systems with a single touch.
On show at their stand at Mobile World Congress, this Porsche 911 also demonstrates the latest in next generation hands free experience. The car is equipped with full bandwidth and full stereo technology – using the same technology that will potentially be available with the use of VoLTE in devices and cars.
Other technology installed in the car includes voice recognition for location finding and navigation.
