ACCESS to power Samsung Optical SMART Hub for connected devices

Oberhausen, Germany. April 12, 2012 – ACCESS Co., Ltd., a software provider to the mobile, “beyond-PC” and digital TV markets, today announced that Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., a leader in digital consumer electronics, has selected NetFront™ Living Connect to provide its Optical SMART Hub optical disc drive with connectivity to DLNA Certified® devices.

NetFront Living Connect is a DLNA Technology Component™ system which enables users to access their digital content across any device within the connected home media network. Combining ACCESS’ NetFront with the Optical SMART Hub allows end users to stream their CDs and DVDs directly onto their connected devices and enjoy the audio and video content anywhere. Samsung’s SE-208BW is the first in the Optical SMART Hub line-up to have interoperability with DLNA certified devices, and also provides file back-up and CD and DVD writing functionality.
