CAMBRIDGE, UK – MAY 29, 2013 – The Weightless SIG today announced its flagship event programme with the launch of the inaugural Weightless Summit on September 25 – 26 in London.Milestone announcements from multiple vendors and a live demonstration of Weightless technology are promised at the prestigious 230 Bishopsgate venue in central London.

Professor William Webb, CEO of the Weightless SIG, commented “The rapid growth in membership of the Weightless SIG, now over 875 international members, is a clear indication of a vibrant and enthusiastic community of developers across the world engaging with the Weightless opportunity.” adding “This conference marks a major change in the life of Weightless from developing standards to developing businesses”.

The event has already attracted big name commercial support. Headline sponsor ARM, which recently publicly endorsed Weightless (ARM CEO Warren East speaks in support of Weightless ) has aligned with the first Diamond and Gold sponsors – CSR, Freescale, Multiple Access Communications and Neul. High level speakers from across the Weightless ecosystem including Adrian Scrase, CTO,  ETSI:
