PacketFront and Radius Synergies agree to co-develop Xenia platform to support M2M

Stockholm, Sweden and New Delhi, India. February 18, 2013 — PacketFront Software Solutions and Radius Synergies Pvt Limited (RSPL) have signed a new M2M-focused agreement covering product development, supply and market co-operation.

The contract includes a joint operations/business support system (OSS/BSS) product development programme to create a complete solution for Open Access FTTx networks and machine-to-machine (M2M) communications covering all aspects of the roll-out and deployment, service fulfilment and assurance products &applications. The solution is built around PacketFront Software Solution’s renowned BECS(TM) product family for network and service provisioning and device connection and service delivery platform for M2M communication from Radius.

The first deployment of this solution will be in Radius’ Indian network, reportedly the largest FTTx network in India. The solution is expected to support more than one million connected devices by 2015.

“This is a major break-through for us in a number of ways” says Ulf Avrin, CEO Packet Front Software Solutions AB. “Not only is this a significant contract in size, but our BECS(TM) complemented with Radius’ Xenia(TM) platform enables us to extend our business in Asia and other emerging markets. We see Radius as an excellent partner to address this fast growing open access FTTx & M2M market.

“Our aim is to take the solution to operational status as soon as possible in order to facilitate Radius’ aggressive FTTx & M2M build-out. However, we see this as merely a beginning of a long journey. The demand for fast open access broadband and M2M communications is increasing not only in India, but across the globe. Together with Packetfront Software Solutions we can offer a complete turn-key solution including both products and services. We are in discussions with a number of potential customers to bring the solution to the global arena” says HS Singh, MD Radius Synergies (P) Ltd.

PacketFront Software Solutions delivers automated broadband network management. BECS provides zero-touch configurations and automated service provisioning for any hardware and topology. Its active API is designed to enable easy and flexible integration to existing OSS/BSS systems. To date, 100 operator customers in 22 countries have chosen BECS(TM) for efficient network operations.
