FreeWave Technologies, has announced it has hired Scott Allen as chief marketing office (CMO). Allen brings more than 30 years’ experience in product lifecycle management, product marketing, business development, brand development and technology deployment. Allen’s unique blend of start-up aggressiveness and established company executive leadership makes him an ideal fit as FreeWave continues to “connect the unconnected” through wireless M2M communications across critical Industrial Internet of Things industries.

Prior to joining FreeWave, Allen served as an executive consultant with SolarWinds, where he led the creation of customer marketing strategies and success measurements. Allen also worked with V3 Systems (now Sphere3D) as CMO. He served as the vice president of marketing and BU director at Fluke Networks (a Danaher Company), and VP of Product Management at Network Associates (McAfee, an Intel security company) earlier in his career. Along with his executive leadership experience, he also has led marketing development efforts at several start-ups, including Mazu Networks (Riverbed) and NEXVU Business Solutions. Allen earned his BA in Computer Information Systems from Weber University.
