TalkPool and Trax join the Swedish IoT alliance SMSE which now counts 36 members. The alliance educate the market, promote Sweden as a great place to look for IoT expertise and solutions and help promote the members to customers, partners and investors primarily abroad.
“Our alliance grows in size and activities in the same pace as the industry itself”, says Magnus Melander, founder of SMSE. “We have already participated in two events 2015: EMM World in Stockholm and LOCA Conference in Munich, and next big stop is MWC in Barcelona”, continues Mr Melander.
Springworks, Kombridge, WSI, Evothings, H&D Wireless, Possio, Combain, Trax, Vinnter, and Wbird represent SMSE in a joint stand in the Swedish Pavilion 7F41 and Mobile World Congress. Partners and other members like Exibea and TalkPool are present as well.
The message promoted by SMSE is that Data is the gold of IoT, Service Enablement is the key to a prospering Internet of Things industry and that Service Enablers need to be specialised in the increasingly competitive and international IoT market. After the most recent expansion the alliance has 36 members and 12 sponsors.
A solid sign of a developing market is mergers and aquisitions. We had one recently in SMSE when Sierra Wireless acquired SMSE member Wireless Maingate in December 2014 (excluding their Enterprise Service business) for US $90 million.
