Eurotech and WebRatio extend their technological collaboration for the IoT

Eurotech, a supplier of embedded systems, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) platforms and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, has announced that they have reinforced their technological collaboration with WebRatio, a supplier of model-driven low-code rapid application development platform and services, inventor of the IFML®, an OMG Standard.

After a year of cooperation, during which Eurotech and WebRatio showed together proof-of-concepts at Shop.org in Seattle in 2014, and again at the 2014 Red Hat Open Source Day in Rome, the two companies decided to extend their technological collaboration. “At Eurotech, we do our best to encapsulate the complexity of M2M/IoT operational technologies into an easy-to-use and easy-to-integrate PAAS (Platform-as-a-Service). We embrace open standards and innovative technology to deliver solutions that allow our customers to focus on their core business,” said Andrea Ceiner, Eurotech group marketing product manager for the M2M/IoT line of business.

“The visual modeling approach followed by WebRatio, based on IFML® (Interaction Flow Modeling Language, an OMG standard) fits exactly the Eurotech IoT vision: it is smart and innovative and it streamlines and accelerates the development of robust model-driven IoT enterprise web applications and mobile apps, built on top of Eurotech’s Everyware Device Cloud,” said Stefano Butti, CEO of WebRatio.

Everyware Device Cloud (EDC) encapsulates the complexity of M2M/IoT enabling technologies, allowing companies of all sizes to build and maintain IoT solutions and infrastructures very effectively.

The EDC offering includes:

  • Everyware Software Framework, designed to simplify smart device and IoT gateway application development and network connectivity;
  • Everyware Cloud for instant accessibility to, and management of, device data through the Cloud platform;
  • Everyware Device Cloud Client, to connect low-power and low-footprint sensors and actuators to the Cloud through effective, robust and reliable protocols that ensure efficient communication even in difficult environments.
