Daimler and WirelessCar have signed a long-term agreement, realising the technical opportunities with connected cars into new business-to-business services.
Starting in 2016, Daimler will utilise WirelessCar platform services to extend the service offerings to business-to-business customers with fleet management services, including location and vehicle follow up, and extensive reporting through portals and mobile apps. The solution offers complete fleet services but is also designed with multiple APIs allowing for efficient integration with various ERP systems.
“At Daimler we always strive for increased customer value. We´ll be able to offer complete solutions for increased vehicle uptime and utilisation while simplifying the everyday routines for the fleet manager. We´re looking forward to teaming up with WirelessCar as a strategic partner in drawing the roadmap for future mobility services”, says Christoph Hartung, director Connected Car, Daimler AG.
This collaboration within car connectivity will not only open up for extended service offerings to customers during the whole vehicle life cycle. It will also significantly speed up the pace of new service offerings releases.
“Daimler is known for aiming high in all areas, and we´re delighted that they have chosen WirelessCar as a partner. Together, we create a platform for a future, highly adjustable, service offering portfolio, reaping the true benefits of the connected car,” says Martin Rosell, managing director of WirelessCar.
