Wipro Technology and Cumulocity have teamed up for a global IoT partnership. Wipro’s enterprise grade Internet of Things (IoT) solutions will become available on Cumulocity’s IoT application enablement platform.
The first solution to be running on Cumulocity is Wipro’s Asset Integration & Management Solution (AIMS). AIMS is an industrial Asset Management solution, capable of supporting assets and equipment from different industry verticals – oil & gas, mining, plant & machinery hiring, heavy earth moving equipment manufacturers. It enables the optimisation of equipment uptime and utilisation, and monitors machine hours, location, odometer, fault codes, security, event tracking, & machine health alerts.
AIMS is device-agnostic, driven by standareds from the Association of Equipment Management Professionals (AEMP) Telematics, and is said to be a flexible solution. It also supports integration to the existing IT systems of the enterprises.
AIMS is also an integral part of Wipro’s IT Command Center. Wipro’s IoT command centre provides 24X7 global support to monitor, control and analyse an enterprises’ diverse and complex equipment network leading to business benefits like – 24 X 7 remote monitoring leading to 5% to 10% reduction in field service calls, Automated tasks and rules to monitor the asset and communication equipment health, Analytical reports on service performance among many others.
AIMS is now available on Cumulocity for selected clients. This was also demonstrated at the Partner & Customer conference at one of Tier 1 customers of Cumulocity.
