“Medical Mutual of Ohio is known to provide a high level of quality healthcare service for our members and we wanted to continue delivering value by offering our members innovative new mobile apps that will enable them to better manage their healthcare,” said Joya Newman, interactive e-solutions manager, Medical Mutual of Ohio. “Kony was able to offer us a compelling mobile application development platform solution that enabled us to deliver personalised mobile experiences for our members better and faster than any other vendor we researched.”

Kony partnered with Medical Mutual of Ohio to design and build two personalised mobile applications. The first was created for health plan members and the second was created to support their Mutual Appreciation Program. Capability highlights of both include:

  • Member App: With Kony, Medical Mutual of Ohio developed a consumer app that allows health plan members to access their plan from their mobile phones. With the mobile app, members can access their identification card, insurance benefits, search for nearby providers, and view claims information.
  • Mutual Appreciation Program App: The mutual appreciation program is an employee rewards program and a customer loyalty program. The goal is to incentivise employees to patronise the businesses of its customers. Working with Kony, Medical Mutual of Ohio developed an enterprise application to support the successful mutual appreciation program.
