SMSEagle announced the new version of hardware SMS gateway, the NXS-9750-3G. The new product offers better performance and double throughput than its predecessor for your everyday operations.

The device is aimed at IT professionals (mainly Net Admins & Software Developers) with high quality expectations. The new device is the answer to their needs.

The new SMSEagle, NXS-9750 is equipped with not one but two 3G modems, each with full bandwidth coverage, making it compatible with almost any 3G network in the world. The device is powered with the latest Linux kernel bringing its security and reliability to a top level. New NXS-9750 have also new failover functions for 3G modems (if using two SIM cards). Failover operational mode assumes functions of a system modem by secondary modem when the primary modem becomes unavailable through either failure or scheduled down time.

New SMSEagle NXS-9750 also offers high-availability cluster feature (with two or more devices). The device integrates with over twenty NMS & Auth systems, such as Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG, Solarwinds, RSA etc. This makes it easy to integrate with numerous existing IT environments.

“We plan on establishing ourselves as a go-to hardware SMS gateway solution for IT professionals, worldwide.” said SMSEagle, product manager, Radoslaw Janowski.

SMSEagle hardware SMS gateway is a EU-originated product for automatic sending & receiving of SMS messages. SMSEagle allows you to send SMS alerts coming from network monitoring systems (NMS), SMS tokens for authentication systems, convert email to SMS messages, send and receive SMS texts using HTTP API. The gateway is designed for professionals who rely on reliability and easy integration with existing IT systems.

SMS messages are sent directly from the gateway to a 3G network. This shortens the critical path (compared to using online SMS services), and allows sending a message even when internet connection is broken. The external antenna improves signal strength in areas with limited 3G coverage (ex. server rooms, datacenters). Internal SNMP agent allows you to monitor the device’s performance using SNMP metrics.
