Ingenu and the City of Dallas announce availability of The Machine Network for IoT traffic

Ingenu™ and the City of Dallas, Texas, have announced the deployment of Ingenu’s Machine Network™ in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Immediately available, the Machine Network will provide IoT (Internet of Things) connectivity to the region and will cover approximately 2,116 square miles, serving a population of more than 4.4 million people.

The Machine Network is powered by Ingenu’s RPMA® (Random Phase Multiple Access) communication technology, which is said to provide robust, reliable connectivity across myriad operating environments. As a result of its range and capacity, RPMA requires minimal infrastructure investment, with only 17 access points delivering connectivity to the entire Dallas/Fort Worth region. Conversely, it would take 10 to 30 times the cellular infrastructure to provide similar coverage.

Application development for the Machine Network is currently underway with partners such as Dallas-based, Plasma, a provider in enterprise digital transformation and IoT. The company is partnering with Ingenu to support various Smart Cities initiatives. Plasma’s C2M™ (www.connect2.me) is a code-free, enterprise-grade IoT platform that allows rapid prototyping and deployment of IoT and mobile solutions. The platform’s vast set of built-in functionality such as connectivity, device management, big data storage, analytics, machine learning, visualisation, event management and business workflows make it a very comprehensive and powerful platform.

Ingenu will also be collaborating with the developer community in the Dallas/Fort Worth area through its sponsorship of the HackDFW hackathon event, taking place April 16-17, 2016, at Gilley’s Dallas.
