Nuage Networks and Accelerite collaborate to provide CloudPlatform for private and hybrid clouds

Accelerite, has announced that Nuage Networks, the Nokia venture focused on software-defined networking (SDN) solutions, has become an Accelerite CloudPlatform Technology Partner. The Nuage Networks Virtualised Services Platform (VSP) platform is certified for the Accelerite CloudPlatform.

The Nuage Networks Virtualised Services Platform (VSP) is a non-disruptive overlay that fully virtualises and automates data center networks with full control, security and microsegmentation. VSP provides network virtualisation capabilities for clouds of all sizes – from small private clouds to the largest public clouds in the world – making the network as readily consumable as compute resources.

The rigorous process of certifying VSP interoperability with the Accelerite CloudPlatform provides service providers and enterprise customers the confidence in a joint solution to maximise the effectiveness of their public, private or hybrid cloud infrastructure.

“With the completion of Accelerite’s acquisition of CloudPlatform from Citrix Systems Inc. Nuage Networks is excited to partner with Accelerite and continue to deliver solutions that help enterprises and service providers address their private and public cloud needs,” said Charles Ferland, vice president of Business Development, Nuage Networks.

“This effort is a continuation of our commitment to helping CloudPlatform customers achieve the scale and performance their businesses demand.”

“Accelerite is pleased to welcome Nuage Networks as a valued member of the Accelerite Technology Partnership Program. We look forward to working together to provide service providers and enterprises with large-scale data center networks the best solutions for private and hybrid cloud services,” said Samir Agarwal, vice president of Product Management, Accelerite.

“We are committed to augmenting the capabilities of CloudPlatform and have already significantly increased investment and resources in new product development. As the initial segment of the next-generation CloudPlatform product roadmap, we recently delivered CloudPlatform 4.7, extending SDN and container support, making CloudPlatform 4.7 the only carrier-grade and enterprise-grade platform built on open source technologies.

We will continue to evolve the platform in innovative ways, in keeping with our vision of enabling forward-thinking enterprises and service providers’ transition to the cloud.”

The Accelerite CloudPlatform, powered by Apache CloudStack, is the industry’s only future-proof, application-centric cloud solution, proven to reliably and efficiently orchestrate both traditional enterprise and cloud-native application workloads within a single unified cloud management platform.

The Accelerite CloudPlatform is being used by some of the largest service providers to offer their public clouds, as well as enterprises running clouds of over 20,000 physical nodes. Accelerite CloudPlatform enables customers to deploy and scale clouds easily, resulting in tremendous time-to-value advantages.
