Locatible launches next gen location and big data-enabled warehouses

Locatible, has developed new location tracking technology for large warehouses, working closely with customers in North America.

The company aims to redesign warehouse and data centres (DCs) operation through next generation Big Data and +/- 5 cm true real-time location.

Locatible is an Irish company providing next generation location services. It has gained notable experience in the indoor location and analytics healthcare industry by providing high accuracy and the latest tracking technology armed with services including infection control, wandering management, advanced nurse call button, healthcare big data and more.

In its latest venture Locatible is working closely with one of the biggest logistics and manufacturing companies in North America with their game changing location & Big Data system for logistics.

“With Locatible, logistics facilities can save close to US$2 million per distribution centre over a 3-year period (based on 750,000 sq. ft. warehouse) and solve 80% of common efficiency problems.” explained Rónán Ó’Cóighligh, the CEO of Locatible. “We are completely removing the lost item scenario and the need for inventory auditors, we can decrease the number of clamp trucks by more than 15% and increase UPMH significantly.”

Drivers have instant on screen access to the optimum routes available for a journey. From the moment an item is clamped drivers know what they are carrying, how much an item weighs (decreasing the risk of any damaged inventory which may occur), where an item needs to be slotted.Locatible.main-dashboard.5.16

Locatible Next Generation Logistics and the driver will also receive alerts in real-time if an item has been moved incorrectly, dropped in the wrong location, even if they pick the wrong item from the stows. This brings 100% stow accuracy, completely eliminates the risk of lost or misplaced items, removes any need for inventory auditors and cuts out the cost and time involved in manual reading time.

The system also completely automates the ‘Cuts’ process, quality holds. Locatible also tells where any serial number is within the supply chain instantly. Thus saving a ton of time and man hours.

Through their ability to locate company inventory and clamp trucks to the nearest +/-5cm in real time, Locatible have as a result been able to turn up the heat when it comes to Big Data, predictive analytics and KPIs bringing operational excellence to the logistics world.

Managers are now able to easily gauge the UPMH of any clamp truck and individual driver at any given time, the length of time a truck spends in a stow and whether drivers are taking the most efficient route available to them. Locatible ca n show them the optimum stows, docks and doors taking away any guess work and the lost time that might come along with it.

Locatible’s predictive analytics on clamp truck performance and inventory gives users crucial insight into warehouse productivity levels they can tell what is going to happen, not only the past. Locatible will also tell managers whether drivers are making the same mistakes repeatedly and thus put additional training measures in place if needed. Managers can also see on screen how drivers’ performance has been on any particular day or during any particular carry.

Locatible also ensures Return on Investment (RoI) on tracking all clamp trucks / trucks / inventory in a matter of months.
