Young, award winning Hungarian artists, Bence Agoston and Peter Toronyi have developed MOOD analogue augmented reality glasses. These are said to “create a layer between the reality and the user’s eyes.”
The accessory offers unique visual sensation for fashion, fun, flow and music fans. The glasses’ rotating lenses filter light differently and create a surreal altered view. The user can enjoy the full spectrums of sound effects and reverberation for an unprecedented crazy synesthetic trip.
Early reviews of MOOD sunglasses have reportedly created considerable media interest with enthusiastic reports on design, music, and fashion sites such as Mocoloco and Fubiz. Now the founders have launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise enough funds to start manufacturing and shipping for fans just in time for their summer festivals.
MOOD glasses were designed with the goal to raise the experience of listening to music to a whole new level. Black or UV-coloured plastic frames can be fitted with a one of six patterned and two UV-filtered lenses by choice.
When rotating the patterned lenses relative to each other in the frame, a vast number of unique optical effects are created such as the Moiré-effect.
Each lens filters the incoming light differently and the patterns will overlap, providing random and dream-like visions to the wearer. Maximum effect can be achieved in bright sunlight and combined with music when visual and audio perception multiplies creating a unique and magical experience.
The MOOD glasses are said to be responsibly manufactured for sustainable fashion: no metal components are used, all lenses and frames are fully recyclable. MOOD packaging is made from 100% recyclable paper.
