Advantech and Alleantia to integrate Industry 4.0 Plug & Play solution with WISE-PaaS platform

Advantech, a provider in Industrial PC and embedded solutions, announced a new partnership with Italian IoT innovator Alleantia which will integrate its Industry 4.0 Plug & Play solutions with the Advantech WISE-PaaS platform, accelerating IoT developers’ efforts to build tailored solutions for any sector.

WISE-PaaS is an open software marketplace providing a range of software solutions and pre-configured packages designed to make Industry 4.0 a reality by speeding time-to-market for IoT developers.

The addition of Alleantia’s Plug & Play solutions will be a major boost for developers building tailored solutions for all sectors: from machine tool and automated warehouses builders, to bottling and packaging plant suppliers.

Stefano Linari

Alleantia’s Xpango database of 4,500+ machine drivers simplifies the connection of “things” to the internet. In combination with Advantech IoT solutions, it will provide a complete toolkit to digitise traditional business models and enable new revenue streams in the machine tools and other industries.

At their joint booth at EMO 2017 (Hall 25 – Stand B60), Alleantia, will also present its IoT ecosystem of Apps, Certified Application and OEM Partners, featuring Advantech.

“Compared to other platforms WISE-PaaS offers several advantages, including the Dashboard Builder, that allows developers to easily and intuitively create dashboards, suitable for visualising data gathered from the field, in both cloud and on-premise environments,” says Stefano Linari, Alleantia’s founder and CEO.

“This partnership at EMO 2017 shows the market that cost effective, end-to-end IoT solutions can be quickly and easily deployable, from field to cloud. It will also offer the first certified IoT gateway ‘connected by Alleantia’,” says Pier Luigi Zenevre, Alleantia’s director of BU Industry 4.0.

Simone Prandi

“The Advantech-Alleantia bundle will be exhibited to our customers at the Advantech Innovation Hub in Munich, in a permanent live industrial scenario,” says Hans Peter Nüdling, associate vice president – Europe Embedded Group, Advantech BV Europe. “We’re able to provide full interoperability by transmitting data gathered from any industrial equipment through our IoT Gateway to any software and our cloud Platform in a safe and selective manner.”

“The integration of Alleantia’s Software with Advantech’s IoT WISE-PaaS/RMM is a complete solution for those who want to connect machines and systems and to visualise remotely their status in a simple and secure way,” says Simone Prandi, key account manager Italy, Advantech Europe BV.

“For example, a manufacturer can create a map of all its products operating globally, to control them in a rapid and intuitive way without having to worry about the necessary infrastructure for device connection and communication.”
