Qoitech’s Premium software for Otii now available from Digi-Key

Vanja Samuelsson of Qoitech

Qoitech AB announced as part of its worldwide distribution agreement, Digi-Key Electronics will be offering Qoitech’s Premium software for use with its energy optimisation tool Otii. The Otii solution provides developers with the means to simplify power measurement of applications and devices, especially those targeting the IoT space and aiming for optimised, long battery life.

The Otii solution combines the measurement capabilities of several different test and measurement hardware tools into the Otii Arc, a device that makes it substantially easier for developers to pinpoint which sections of code, associated peripherals, and hardware contribute most to the application’s power consumption.

With Otii Software Premium License, developers can access the battery profiling, simulation and scripting capabilities of the Otii software. Using the Lua scripting language, the Otii Arc can be used to profile batteries, allowing different batches of the same cell to be compared, or to evaluate their performance under environmental conditions that more closely match that of the application. The Lua scripting also enables automated testing, allowing longer term tests to be run without human intervention.

Vanja Samuelsson, founder of Qoitech, said “Otii Premium software opens up a whole new world of opportunities for developers. With Otii Premium License, the full power of Otii is realised as it ticks all the tool’s functionality boxes and also offers a premium level of support where problems and questions can be rapidly addressed and solved.”

Randall Restle, VP, applications engineering at Digi-Key said, “Qoitech’s Otii solution provides visibility to developers of power consumption of their IoT hardware to allow them to ‘power optimise’ their code to improve battery life.

This very nicely fits Digi-Key’s strategy to offer the broadest selection of electronic solutions to developers, as well as providing the best service possible to its customers, aiding engineers through the entire design process, from prototype to production. Providing our customers with Otii Premium is a perfect fit for IoT applications developers.”

Pricing of Otii Premium is $487.50 (€417.64) and more information can be found here.
