SFC Energy AG, a supplier of hydrogen and methanol fuel cells for stationary and mobile hybrid power solutions, has joined the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance as its newest member.
The European Clean Hydrogen Alliance was founded by the European Commission. The alliance of companies brings together industries and representatives from politics and civil society to validate opportunities and measures on the way to decarbonising the EU economy in line with the 2050 climate neutrality target.
The focus is on more efficient positioning of the hydrogen value chain from production and transport to technologies and applications in mobility, industry, energy, and heating.
As a fuel cell provider, SFC Energy brings more than 20 years of expertise to the alliance to help sustainably shape the comprehensive transformation process. With more than 50,000 hydrogen and methanol fuel cells sold worldwide, adding up to more than 100 million operating hours, SFC Energy is a global partner for numerous user industries.
The fuel cell is considered a key technology for the successful completion of the energy transition. It makes it possible to generate electricity from hydrogen decentralised, efficient, and environmentally friendly.
“In order to successfully shape the energy transition, we need to concentrate forces. By joining the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance we want to contribute our know-how and experience to drive the development of the market for clean hydrogen technologies in Europe. At the same time, we look forward to a continuous and enriching dialogue with representatives from politics and industry”, says Dr. Peter Podesser, CEO of SFC Energy AG.
