Wialon has announced a call for entries for the IoT Project of the Year. The team behind the world’s leading GPS tracking solution will name the best IoT projects for the third time. Applications can be submitted until July 26, and the winners will be announced in October in Dubai.
The IoT Project of the Year is the world’s only competition for telematics and IoT solutions. For the third time in a row, the contest will highlight the best industry projects delivered over the past year, selected by an international jury of IoT and telematics experts who will determine the winners in 17 nomination categories.
Any telematics service provider can participate in the IoT Project of the Year contest. Their location, software and hardware selection, as well as the size of the company, are of no importance. What really matters is whether a solution changes its application niche for the better.
“Internet of Things today is a much broader concept than we could imagine just a few years ago,” said Aliaksandr Kuushynau, the Head of Wialon. “The original, innovative, and sometimes outstanding projects are changing not only specific businesses but also different spheres of our lives. One of last year’s winners was a project from Mexico that helped enable the survival and reproduction of the rare Ridley tortoise. A South African company’s solution reduced the number of fuel thefts, which is a substantial problem in the region. In Colombia, an IoT solution simplified community service personnel work so they can now respond to accidents more quickly. All in all, more than 100 projects ranging from Colombia to New Guinea took part in the 2021 competition. I believe that this year, there will be just as many exceptional projects. We will be glad to tell the entire world about them.”
The call for projects has now started and entry is open until July 26. Traditionally, the winners have been selected across different sectors, from long-haul shipping to public safety. You can submit your project online by filling out the form, and participation is free.
The winners will be announced on October 9 in Dubai.
