Litmus simplifies IIoT evaluation, purchasing, adoption for manufacturers with new portal

Litmus, an industrial edge data platform, has announced the availability of a new self-service portal an all-in-one entry point designed to simplify customer evaluation, deployment and adoption of Litmus edge and Litmus edge manager to support Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Given the complexity of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) adoption in manufacturing, Litmus developed the portal to improve time-to-value even further for manufacturers. Based on market and user feedback highlighting timing challenges for evaluation and trial processes for other IIoT software, Litmus developed a fully functional environment to ease adoption pain points.

Another challenge manufacturers identified in their digital transformation efforts is the time investment to plan out and implement solutions. That’s why the portal also includes a library of pre-built solutions to make it easy for companies of all sizes to get started with Industry 4.0 initiatives. These solutions support a variety of industries and use cases so manufacturers can find solutions to fit their specific needs out of the box.

“One of our core values at Litmus is ensuring development work is driven by feedback and customer insights that way, our roadmap can benefit our current customers while moving the wider industry forward,” explains Parth Desai, director of solutions and industrial for Litmus. “Whether it’s a new initiative at a large company, or a smaller project that requires an out of the box product or solution approach, the portal and our solutions library is here to help.”

The new portal essentially aims to simplify the whole customer’s early journey with a single interface:

  • During evaluation and exploration, users can spin up a fully functional instance of Litmus Edge through the portal in just a few clicks or download and run it in their own environment.
  • Through that instance, they get to try the platform and test all its features and functionality (including the new pre-built industries and use case solutions, as well as premium features like digital twins) in a dedicated sandbox.
  • They get access to all documentation, FAQs and even on-demand support throughout the process.
  • Once they move through the evaluation phase, they can then seamlessly use the same account to request a quote, manage their subscriptions and product licenses, download products and raise support tickets if needed.

“We’ve always prided ourselves on time-to-value and ease of deployment at Litmus. Our goal is to make IIoT more accessible no matter where customers are on their journey,” says Vatsal Shah, co-founder & CEO of Litmus. “The portal represents a new way we can make Industry 4.0 gains real for manufacturers by streamlining the process further. Manufacturers are now one step closer to seeing the value of collecting, normalising and contextualising their data for actionable insights in real-time with Litmus Edge.”
