Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced that it is now offering its TCS Neural Manufacturing suite of solutions on the newly-launched Microsoft Cloud for Manufacturing. This will help manufacturers accelerate their growth and transformation.

Microsoft Cloud for Manufacturing combines solutions and services addressing industrial companies’ priorities, helping them in their journey toward becoming connected digital enterprises. Manufacturers can reduce risk and deploy a multi-horizon journey focused on realising business value. The cloud combines various Microsoft technologies, linked by a common data model to build resiliency and sustainability through operational visibility, data integration, and digital collaboration.

TCS combines its industry knowledge, experience from working with enterprises worldwide, and its multi-horizon cloud transformation framework to help manufacturers achieve their business goals. The TCS Neural Manufacturing suite of solutions, including Clever energycognitive plant operations adviser, and digital manufacturing solution, offers enterprises connected, cognitive, and collaborative capabilities for their large-scale transformations. TCS showcased these solutions with Microsoft at Hannover Messe 2023 in Germany, demonstrating how manufacturers can create boundaryless business models, seamless customer experiences, and optimised value chains.

TCS is working with customers to boost efficiency in plant operations, improve safety, and drive excellence through data-led insights on Microsoft Cloud. By partnering with TCS to implement digital twin technology, one global manufacturer gained richer data-led insights, helping it increase its average yield and process consistency. Another consumer goods is pursuing its net zero goals with TCS’ sustainability solutions on Azure.

In addition to these solutions, TCS offers manufacturers a portfolio of services spanning IT, operations technology, internet of things (IoT) and digital engineering, and business operations leveraging its deep domain knowledge. These include strategy, consulting, implementation, and maintenance support services. TCS helps clients scale up their product innovation programmes at TCS Pace Ports, a global network of research and co-innovation hubs for collaborative experimentation using the latest technologies, including from Microsoft, joint ideation, prototyping, and solution deployment. At these sites, the teams can also leverage work done by TCS’ new ecosystem consisting of over 2,700 start-ups and 80 academic partners.

“TCS works with leading manufacturers globally, helping them pursue their growth and transformation initiatives. With Microsoft Cloud for Manufacturing, we are bringing together our deep expertise and industry-leading portfolio of industrial IoT and engineering solutions in the TCS Neural Manufacturing suite to help our customers future-proof their manufacturing operations and drive competitive differentiation,” says Sreenivasa Chakravarti, global head, IoT and digital engineering, TCS.

“Manufacturing transformation is being accelerated by connected solutions like TCS Neural Manufacturing solutions integrated with the Microsoft Cloud for Manufacturing and utilising edge compute, 5G, cloud and AI capabilities. Azure services bring simplicity to deliver and manage the solution at scale,” says Dominik Wee, corporate vice president, manufacturing and mobility industry, Microsoft.
