In this issue of IoT Now we’re back from our summer holidays and celebrating some highly positive analyst stats on cellular IoT uptake. These originate with continued growth in the cellular modules business and continue through double-digit growth in cellular connection numbers globally.
Analysts’ predictions look conservative, if anything, and this should be welcomed by a marketplace that has suffered from significant over-hype throughout its history. Tightening revenues of about 33 Euro cents a month per cellular IoT connection are the fly in the ointment but simplified management and economies of scale offset this and prepares the industry for mega-scale.
Don’t miss our Analyst Report by Kaleido Intelligence and Mobilesquared which contains essential advice on how connectivity leaders should approach the market and check out our cover interview in which Telit Cinterion’s Roy MacLean advises IoT developers to start at the end for optimised, scalable deployments.
