Yandex debuts smart devices with Alice in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan’s local retailers have begun selling Yandex’s smart home devices and Stations with Alice. Purchasers of a smart speaker will receive a Yandex Plus subscription.

Stations are smart speakers with Alice. A single Yandex Plus subscription allows you to play music, podcasts, or playlists with personal recommendations on Yandex Station. Alice, the voice assistant on board, can entertain children with an educational game or compose a fairy tale together. She will tell you about the weather or remind you to buy groceries. Alice loves talking and will hold a conversation with ease: currently, in Russian only.

Smart home with Alice

Alice is the centrepiece of a smart home. She unites dozens of devices and makes them do everything by themselves, like magic. You can control any compatible device with the speaker or the “Home with Alice” mobile app. The app can be used to manage each device separately or set up entire scenarios. For example, you can switch off the lights, flick on the nightlights, and put on a lullaby in the children’s room: all with just one command.

The current lineup consists of Station Lite, Station Mini, Station Mini with a clock, Station, and Station Max. The devices can be purchased in electronics stores, such as Media Mark, Joy Box, Texnomart, Credit Asia, and other retailers.

Station Lite starts at a price of 799,000 Som (US$71.12), Station Mini (without a clock) starts at 1,099,000 Som ($97.83), the version with a clock is available starting from 1,299,000 Som ($115.63), Station starts at 2,799,000 Som ($249.15), and Station Max – at 4,599,000 Som ($409.38). Smart home devices (lightbulb and plug) will be available at 299,000 and up ($26.62). With the start of smart speaker sales, Yandex also launches a user support service and a warranty service centre in Uzbekistan.
