Materials Testing 2019

September 3 - September 5

Inspection and monitoring technologies will play a key role in IoT and the transition to Industry 4.0, as installed sensors will provide much of the data to make the revolution possible.

See the very latest in inspection at Materials Testing 2019, which takes place from 3-5 September in Telford, UK and is the world’s most comprehensive exhibition of non-destructive testing (NDT), condition monitoring (CM) and diagnostic technologies.

The event, which is free to attend, will feature over 70 exhibitors plus a wide range of seminars and workshops. It is organised by the British Institute of NDT (BINDT).

Amongst those taking part is the UK Research Centre for NDE (RCNDE), a consortium of academic and industrial members, which focuses on the ‘inspection technology needs of the 21st century’. It will be showcasing technologies at the exhibition and organizing over a programme of over 30 presentations at the NDT 2019 conference which runs alongside it. Its Director, Professor Robert Smith, says the concepts involved in processing data from installed sensors will be a key research theme under its next research programme starting in 2020.

Materials Testing 2019 is open from 9.30am to 4.30pm on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 September and from 9.30am to 2.30pm on Thursday 5 September and takes place at the International Centre in Telford.
