Hyosung partnership with China’s networking equipment maker Huawei aims to serve IoT market better

Hyosung ITX, an IT unit of Hyosung Group, announced on July 11 that it recently concluded sales partnership with Huawei, China’s global networking equipment maker, to better serve the IT market.

Both Hyosung ITX and Huawei expect to strengthen their technology cooperation further in various business areas. They have concentrated on R&D on cloud computing, big data and IoT in preparation for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Hyosung Group chairman Cho Hyun-joon noted the importance of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on July 7, saying information and communication technologies are being fused by the revolution.

The agreement has enabled Hyosung ITX to sell a full range of latest IT products and services including servers, storage and network solutions as the official sales partner of Huawei.

The partnership has also allowed Hyosung ITX to add Huawei’s superb technology and products to its lineup of IT solutions, which include storage products of Japanese tech firm Hitachi and wireless networks of the US firm Ruckus. With more diverse solutions, Hyosung ITX will be able to respond to consumer needs more promptly and flexibly.

Chairman Cho noted the importance of information and communication technologies. “We may be left behind in the rapid Fourth Industrial Revolution in a second unless we notice changes in an era of ICT fusion, no matter how good technology we possess and how promising business we are in,” he said.
