Lanner releases NCA-5520, a 1U 19” rackmount network appliance built with Intel® Xeon® Processor Scalable Family (Codenamed Skylake-SP).

The introduction of the NCA-5520 is a response to network service providers’ demand for more agile and flexible methods for delivering satisfying network computing performance while saving ownership costs; the NCA-5520, featuring optimised computing power and virtualisation capacity in a compact 1U form factor with high-port density, is the ideal solution for such requirements.

NCA-5520 is powered by Intel®’s Xeon® Processor Scalable Family and Intel® C626 or C621 chipset, delivering advanced networking features, including Intel® QuickAssist Technology, new Intel® AVX-512 instructions, Intel® Hyperscan and Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK).

With its support for up to 384GB DDR4 system memory at 2666 MHz, the NCA-5520 greatly maximises packet processing efficiency for virtual network functions, cryptography acceleration for deep packet inspection and many next-generation firewall and UTM/IPS/IDS applications.

For optimal networking tasks, the NCA-5520 comes with either 4x GbE RJ-45 or 4x 10G SFP+ ports. The LAN expansion is made possible by way of its 4x NIC module slots that offer support for 10G/25G/40G/100G fiber/copper/bypass specifications, such versatility and scalability makes NCA-5520 the perfect hardware solution for enhancing network traffic management and virtualised network security.

Other outstanding features include dual console ports (RJ45 c& mini-USB), dual USB 3.0 ports, 4x swappable fans, dual 2.5”HDD/SSD bays, dual PSUs and optional PCIe*16 FH/HL.
