CTIA, Las Vegas, NV, USA — Numerex Corp, a provider of on-demand and interactive M2M enterprise solutions, and Huawei, a global ICT solutions provider, have formed a global alliance. Meanwhile, wireless M2M services provider, KORE is partnering with UK-based network operator, EE to extend KORE Global Connect™ services into Europe, the Middle and East Africa (EMEA).
Numerex and Huawei form a new alliance for
secure, integrated intelligent wireless module
In recent years China-based Huawei has rapidly become a top-tier provider of information and communications technology (ICT) software and hardware. The partnership with Numerex, one of the longest-established companies in M2M, is expected to result in a Huawei intelligent communication device embedded with Numerex’s core network M2M technology.
The agreement combines Huawei’s wireless module product platform with Numerex’s DNA service model (Device, Network, and Application) for a range of integrated services. Based on the Numerex FAST (Foundation Application Software Technology) platform, the partnership offers businesses worldwide a communications device capable of running customised, feature-rich applications. Operating in the cloud, Numerex FAST focuses on enabling M2M solutions, and aims to give corporate customers the ability to deliver value-added services quickly and easily.

KORE Global Connect enhances EMEA footprint, and adds voice
support to meet EE’s growing M2M connectivity demands
This new partnership provides customers of KORE, said to be the world’s largest wireless services provider specialising in M2M communication, with an expanded addressable market for their M2M applications without requiring any new relationships, contracts or integration with existing infrastructures.
The relationship with EE provides KORE Global Connect customers with multiple connectivity options for their M2M applications, including KORE’s satellite services, and access to EE’s 2G, 3G and market-leading 4G LTE network in the United Kingdom. Customers will also now have access to voice services within KORE Global Connect to support emerging M2M applications, such as those in the medical and dispatch industries. The additional KORE Global Connect services will be available imminently in all markets served by KORE.

The EE network and its partner networks will also be fully integrated into the KORE PRiSMPro™ management platform and the company’s redundant data centre operations, allowing its customers to have full control of M2M devices and network usage.

EE provides mobile and fixed line services to 27 million customers in Britain, and is the first company in the UK to provide 4G mobile services alongside fixed line fibre. EE runs the Orange, T-Mobile and EE brands in the UK.
Its 4G service will cover more than half of the UK population by June 2013 and EE continues to improve the speed and reach of the UK’s first 4G network. Its fibre service already covers 50% of the population. EE’s mobile service currently provides coverage to 99% of the population with 2G and 98% of the population with 3G.
