Konrad-Technologies, a global provider of customer focused test solutions and sensor testing of Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS), has opened its United Kingdom (UK) subsidiary.

It is Friday afternoon, and the traffic on the A9 freeway near Munich is congested. Navigation requires complete concentration. Other vehicles are constantly cutting in front of the car, forcing the driver to brake abruptly − which is the cause of many accidents, slow-moving traffic, and stress.

At this year’s North American International Auto Show’s AutoMobili-D 2018, Osram Opto Semiconductors is demonstrating how its high-power infrared pulse lasers are helping speed the adoption of autonomous vehicles and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

A recent user experience evaluation from the In-vehicle UX (IVX) group at Strategy Analytics has assessed Mercedes-Benz’s Semi-Autonomous Driving Assistant in a 2018 S-Class Sedan. On completion, Strategy Analytics found that this iteration shows improvements in control location,
