The Data Communications Company (DCC), the organisation that operates and maintains Britain’s national smart meter network, has joined forces with Toshiba, Pelion, Vestel, and has.to.be to bring current electric vehicle charging infrastructure onto a secure, unified, national network.

The Data Communications Company (DCC) has confirmed that the 10 millionth smart meter has been connected to its national secure network. The milestone was achieved with the installation of an electricity smart meter on 1st February 2021 by E.ON Energy at a location in Doddington, Cambridgeshire.
