As enterprise customers migrate their applications to Microsoft’s Azure cloud and develop cloud-native apps, one of the capabilities available to them is the IoT platform services provided by the Azure IoT suite.

Bsquare has entered into an agreement with an unnamed global supplier of smart grid and smart city solutions to utilise Bsquare DataV™ Internet of Things (IoT) software to enable a distributed app environment across its smart meter offerings.

In a move that marks a significant further shift towards “access from anywhere” cloud-based services for its customers, the RAC, a UK-based motoring organisation providing services for both private and business motorists, has selected Microsoft to add scale to its telematics platform and to transform data into new services.
