Alchemy IoT, a provider of IoT Asset Intelligence for industrial applications, launched with $4 million (€3.40 million) seed funding from Aweida Venture Partners and several angel investors. The startup’s cloud-based application, Clarity, helps customers achieve a greater return on their industrial assets and competitive advantage.

There are significant challenges facing the smart home market, and perhaps the most visible is being caused and perpetuated by market fragmentation, says Thomas Rockmann, VP of Connected Home, Deutsche Telekom AG.

Clarity is working in partnership with ST Electronics to roll-out smart metering infrastructure, protocols and standards for Singapore’s Intelligent Energy System (IES) pilot project.
