The M2M Summit 2017 is moving from Düsseldorf to Cologne joining forces with StartupCon. With an annual growth rate of almost 300%, the internationally renowned industry event is expected to attract more than 5,000 visitors.

Following its confirmation at the Annual General Meeting, the M2M Alliance management board has been confirmed, but changes are afoot within the association.

According to Gartner, a total of 8.4 billion people and devices will be connected to the Internet of Things (IoT) this year. Despite the increasing popularity of IoT solutions in companies, 63% of applications are actually linked to the consumer sector.

The management board of the M2M Alliance has been confirmed at the Annual General Meeting. But still, there will be changes within the association. The M2M Alliance has presented a new strategy that focuses on more direct interaction with members.

Experts and users from all over the world met in Düsseldorf last week for the 10th anniversary of the M2M Summit, hosted by the M2M Alliance.

Among the highlights of this year’s M2M Summit in Dusseldorf, Germany (October 5-6) will be talks from Brigitte Zypries, Scott Amyx, and Eric Goodness, the M2M Alliance’s Academic Day, as well as an evening event that reportedly offers good networking opportunities.
