HMS Networks launched a new set of features in the Talk2M Easy Setup framework for Ewon Products. This is designed to make secure remote machine access connectivity even easier for machine builders and end users.

HMS Industrial Networks acquired all shares in the German company Beck IPC GmbH located in Wetzlar, Germany. Beck IPC is a provider of technology and solutions for embedded control and industrial M2M communication, including solutions for the Industrial Internet of Things, IIoT.

By installing an eWON VPN router and using the Talk2M Internet-based remote access system, a manufacturer of marine generating sets is now able to securely monitor and report on the condition of its diesel-electric generating sets, located onboard an oil platform supply vessel, via a cellular (3G Internet) connection.

eWON, the manufacturer of industrial routers for secure PLC remote access, has announced that more than 5,000 of its users are already benefiting from its 2-factor authentication (2FA) security feature, which was launched at the beginning of 2015.
