Kamstrup, an intelligent metering solutions provider, reported “record-breaking turnover for 2015” in its annual report released today. Building on the previous record of €186 million set in 2014, Kamstrup posted an annual turnover of €204 million in 2015 with a pre-tax profit of €27 million.

The global economy is picking up, even though a dark cloud still looms over the Euro zone. The financial results that Telit and others have reported recently are very positive and there are further indications that M2M /IoT is bucking the trend. 

Vodafone today announced disappointing figures for its year ending March 31, 2013. Group revenue was down by 4.2% to £44.4 billion (€52.2bn) and full year organic service revenue declined -1.9%* (Q4 -4.2%*).

Newbury, Berkshire, UK. November 13, 2012 — Vodafone has announced a loss of £1,886 million (€2,358 million) for the six months ended 30 September, 2012, as total revenues fell 7.4% on H1, 2011. But the CEO reported that M2M revenues continued to show ‘strong’ growth.

While Vodafone Group’s adjusted operating profit for the year ended 31 March 2012 fell by 2.4% year-on-year to £11.5 billion (US$18.2 billion), due to the sale of its interest in SFR, the company has seen major growth in M2M connections, notably in the automotive and utilities markets.

Machine-to-machine communications company Telit has posted preliminary net profits of US$8.4m for the year ending 31 December 2010 against a loss for the previous year of $4.2m.

M2M equipment maker Elecsys saw its sales for the quarter ending 31 January 2011 rise 29% to US$6.1m.
