The Fog Computing Market size is set to exceed US$700 million (€567.51 million) by 2024; according to a new research report by Global Market Insights, Inc. Increasing penetration of cloud computing platforms is fostering the fog computing market growth.

Connected devices are becoming essential components for enterprises as they can drive significant connectivity and integration between systems and data. The increasing number of devices getting connected to each other generates a huge amount of data.

Companies don’t make “things”: that is not how most companies view their manufacturing activities. They make products, which is why I prefer the term “Internet of Smart Connected Products”, even though it is a bit of a mouthful.
