Alpha Micro has announced that the GainSpan line-up of Wi-Fi wireless modules are now being shipped with a concurrent mode feature.

Nuremberg, Germany – GainSpan® Corporation, a provider of ultra-low power Wi-Fi connectivity for the Internet of Things (IoT), unveiled the GS2000 at Embedded World 2013 Germany last week. It is said by the company to be the first single chip solution to bring together two IEEE low power standard wireless technologies: Wi-Fi® (802.11b/g/n) and 802.15.4.

The Enocean Alliance is bringing together some its supporters to make a big splash at the Building Services Event, which runs from 11 to 12 October at London’s Olympia exhibition centre.
