During a keynote speech delivered today at the Global Mobile Broadband Forum 2019, Ryan Ding, Huawei executive director of the board and president of Carrier BG, noted that among consumers, households, and vertical industries, there is a real and urgent demand for 5G.

Working together with its strategic partner Huawei, Sunrise has built one of the leading 5G networks in Europe. Now, with the first 5G Joint Innovation Centre in Europe, Sunrise and Huawei will cooperate to research and develop 5G applications for both the private and business sectors.

At the FT-ETNO Summit held in Brussels, Huawei executive director and Products & Solutions president Ryan Ding said, “5G will be one of the cornerstones of industry digitalisation. A single global standard is vital.”

Huawei signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with KUKA, a global provider of robot technology. The deal is to develop smart manufacturing solutions for industrial markets in Europe and China.

Prior to the annual Mobile World Congress (MWC), Huawei held press conference in Beijing and a pre-event briefing in London to share its strategic outlook on the global telecom industry. MWC 2016 opens in Barcelona, Spain on February 22.

Huawei and Telefonica Business Solutions have reached a global collaboration agreement to promote the migration of traditional IT services to the cloud.
