Farnell element14, the Development Distributor, has launched local language versions of its IoT Hub, a major section of the company’s website containing a variety of IoT news items, feature stories and technical articles exploring the possibilities of IoT applications. At the same time, a range of new content has been added to the site.

Premier Farnell has created an IoT Power Calculator that aims to help developers of IoT (Internet of Things) projects to understand the expected battery life of their IoT devices. It also allows them to experiment with different components and software algorithms to determine their impact on battery life.

Farnell element14 has extended the deadline of its global competition to discover how engineers can ‘Change the World’ with their design ideas. Entries will now be accepted on the competition website until February 28, 2017.
