Enterprises can now benefit from global Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity from Verizon Business for mobile assets in 170 countries worldwide. This includes permanent roaming options in North America and Western Europe all on a single SIM.

Verizon Business and Amazon Web Services (AWS) will be expanding their 5G collaboration to deliver private mobile edge computing (MEC) to enterprise customers in the U.S who want a completely dedicated edge compute infrastructure on-premise that enables ultra-low latency, higher levels of security and deeper customisation.

Verizon Business is working with Associated British Ports (ABP) to deploy a private 5G network at the UK Port of Southampton. Delivered in partnership with Nokia, Verizon’s private 5G platform will provide one of the United Kingdom’s (UK’s) busiest ports with a secure, low-latency private network connection.

Developers and businesses can tap into the power of Verizon 5G Edge with AWS Wavelength in two new locations, Denver and Seattle. Verizon 5G Edge, a mobile edge computing (MEC) platform, lets developers build applications for mobile end-users and wireless edge devices with ultra-low latency, extended battery life, massive throughput and more.
