International communications enabler BICS announced that Proximus has acquired MTN and Swisscom’s shares in the company (20% and 22.4% of issued shares respectively). This makes Proximus the sole shareholder in BICS and TeleSign, for a total transaction value of €569 million.

The board of directors of BICS (Belgacom International Carrier Services) and CEO, Daniel Kurgan have come to the mutual conclusion to end their collaboration. The board of directors has approved the appointment of Matteo Gatta as new CEO of the company.

BICS, an international telecoms enabler, has joined the IoT M2M Council (IMC), the largest community of enterprise users and OEMs that buy IoT solutions, with more than 25,000 members globally, 35% from North America.
