Cinterion, part of Gemalto, and Numerex have announced their partnership to distribute and integrate Cinterion modules across all M2M markets, enabling customers to implement securely and rapidly M2M applications.
Cinterion offers a full range of M2M security products covering wireless communication modules, machine identification modules (MIM), value-added software applications and remote management services. The agreement combines Cinterion’s portfolio of wireless communications modules with Numerex’s DNA (device, network and application) service model for its range of integrated services.
Numerex claims to be the first M2M service provider in North America to be ISO 27001 certified for information security, protecting data confidentiality and integrity and safeguarding against security threats. Both companies are market leaders in their respective fields and share a commitment to providing reliable and secure data communications.
“Cinterion and Gemalto are well known for high quality offers and outstanding customer support, and for their superior security value proposition which is paramount to our customers,” said Michael Marett, chief operating officer of Numerex. “Our collaboration enables our customers to streamline integration for a swift time-to-market of M2M solutions, optimising enterprise operations and ultimately, improving the bottom line.”
“Numerex now has the unique ability to bundle market-leading Cinterion modules with its own expert service and support,” added Peter Fowler, Cinterion regional president of the Americas at Gemalto. “We are eager to support Numerex by bringing Cinterion wireless M2M communications to the entire M2M vertical markets spectrum – from security systems, to automotive and fleet applications to medical devices and beyond.”
